Yes, it is a destination for motorcyclists and sportscar groups, and yes, some of them are going to ride it or drive it as they can. Yes, it does have 318 turns (or changes in direction) but no, they are not all hairpins turns and there's not really a lot of elevation change. The TOTG is nothing more than an 11 mile section of US 129. This is written for the average guy or gal who's heard of the 'attraction' and might want to go. But I was curious as to what others were saying so I'm writing this review to set the record straight after reading the Terrible and Poor reviews written by people who have no idea what they're talking about. My wife and I rode the Tail of the Dragon together for the first time (my third) and she was a bit underwhelmed after riding much more challenging roads in Europe.
